Established in 1977 as a small storefront bakery in Fort Myers, FL we steadily grew into what today is a bakery café and specialty wholesale bakery. Our bakery café opened in 2001 after moving into our new and current location on Metro Pkwy in Fort Myers, FL.

Our bakery café has been owned and managed by the same family since we opened our doors on September 22, 1977. Since then we have only looked forward. We continue to strive to provide quality, delicious and unique foods to our customers with the goal of leaving you fully satisfied.

Founders Sam and Zlata Savich, originally from Yugoslavia, have been baking combined for over 90 years! Still active in the business they take pride in baking and it shows. For over 30 years European American Bakery Café has been baking handcrafted breads and freshly baked pastries. We take the same commitment to freshness whether it’s our soups and salads or breads and pastries. That’s what we call bakery fresh and its our commitment to you.

Our company consists of two divisions; Our bakery café, serving breakfast, lunch and catering and our wholesale bakery, serving bread, pastries and sandwiches to area food establishments, hotels and professional offices.
