European American Baking Company, Inc., know as European American Bakery Cafe (EABAKE) cares about your privacy. We have a strict privacy policy regarding customer information and their payment info. This policy describes how EABAKE collects, uses and discloses personal information obtained through our EABAKE websites ( and, online ordering services, e-club, mobile text and BAKEREWARDS programs. Our online privacy is governed in accordance with local, state and federal law.

EABAKE website is intended for use by individuals at least 13 years of age. Children under the age of 13 may not use this website. How We Collect Your Info

European American Bakery Cafe obtains personal information from such sources as orders placed by customers including online, in person, by telephone, fax or email; from inquires made by phone, online or email and through marketing channels including our e-club sign up form on our websites, sign up forms located at our bakery cafe and by phone when requesting this information for marketing purposes.

What Types of Personal Information We Collect

European American Bakery Cafe collects personal information such as customer names, gender, birthdates, phone numbers, physical addresses and email address, usernames and passwords as well as certain financial information such as credit card information, checking account information and other payment information that you submit to us for order processing as part of our normal business practices. Other information we may collect may be company size and ordering amount and order frequency that is used to determine and market products or services to certain customers.

In addition, certain customers may be offered payment terms and if requested, we may collect financial information from each customer including more detailed financial information and from third parties to enable us to assess risks in granting credit terms.

Non Personal Information

Non personal information is gathered automatically each time you visit our website. This information is generally provided to us by the use of “cookies”. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer’s hard drive each time you access this and other sites. This information is used to identify and store the user’s preferences and location for a better website experience. Like most websites, our site automatically gathers information about the areas of our site that are visited, and how the user interacts with our site. The data collected is anyonymous and is not associated with your personal information, unless you are using an area of the site where you have entered or logged in with your personal information to participate in one of our online programs. We may disclose this aggregated statistics with third parties to help us improve our site.

What We Do With Your Info

The purpose of collecting personal information from our customers is to service our customers including order processing, delivery and management, invoicing, general customer inquiries and for our loyalty program, e-club and text club management. We may also use your information for other business uses such as for analyzing data to improve our services and for marketing such as direct mail.

Our company does not sell any personal information collected from our customers to any third party. We may however, share certain information to third party companies that provide support services to us such as credit card processors or website hosts and companies that manage our online ordering sites for the purpose of facilitating such transactions including (our online ordering website) and (our catering online ordering and customer management website).

EABAKE’s privacy policy extends only to this website. When you link to third party sites from our EABAKE site, you are bound by their privacy policy and terms. These include social networking sites such as Facebook, review sites such as Yelp and our online ordering and management sites. Please refer to each of these websites for their individual privacy policies and terms of use of their sites

We may also disclose specific information as permitted by applicable laws, in response to legal process or when legally required to do so; or to enforece our agreements, corporate policies, and terms of use; and to protect the rights, property or safety of European American Bakery Cafe’s employees, agents, customers and others.

Email and Text Clubs, Loyalty Programs and Accounts

If you’ve signed up for email notifications you should receive on average about 1 email a month but up to 2 emails per month if we really have something important to say. This emails consist of advertising exclusive offers, new products, special events, contests or what we feel is important information to be passed on to our customers. Additional emails may be sent during the winter holiday season, as an initial welcome email and on birthday months.

If you signed up for our mobile text club you will receive about 1 message per month but should not exceed 2 messages per month. Our text club advertises exclusive offers and special events and contests. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply.

If you wish to be removed from either our email or text club, please follow the directions on your last email or text, generally located at the bottom of each message.

If you registered for an account online, you will receive emails to confirm your order or for normal business communication. You can cancel your online account any time by contacting EABAKE. Upon your request we will delete your personal and/or corporate information, however we may store your information in our data base to support our business requirements for a reasonable time.

If you are a part of our loyalty program, we may send you periodic emails for offers or for normal business communication. You may cancel your loyalty program anytime by contacting us.

How Secure is My Personal Data and Credit Card Info?

No data is completely secure online. However, we take steps to help minimize the risk to you or our company. We utilize an electronic firewall between our public wifi and our POS payment and software servers to prevent outside parties from accessing our database through the internet. Physical access is restricted to authorized personnel or approved vendors.

If you registered for an account online, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information including user ID and passwords.

Any electronic credit card or payment info we collect is held strictly confidential and is never disclosed to unauthorized persons. Payment transactions are conducted through our secured server utilizing PCI compliant software both for our POS and payments gateway software.

With respect to Credit Card Authorizations and Holds, please note some banks and credit card companies hold a certain amount of funds generally for 24-72 hours but up to 30 days as a pending authorization, which we have no control over. Please contact us immediately if you feel you were charged in error or notice any discrepancies with an invoice or credit card. In some cases, you may need to contact your credit card company or the issuing bank for additional questions you may have or to help adequately resolve the matter.
